Dr Rand and his staff have always provided excellent care. He has an excellent bedside manner and makes sure all of my questions are answered. I never feel rushed and, under his management, have reduced my A1C from 11 something down to 7.1. He is knowledgeable and his staff is warm, friendly and professional.

Dr. Rand is an excellent endocrinologist, great bedside manner and very knowledgeable in his area of practice. The support staff is also great at this practice and it’s a rare gem. Usually you get a great doctor and lousy support staff or great support staff and not such a great doctor and this practice is great all around!

I wasn’t able to make an appt because of Covid and Dr. Rand wouldn’t fill my insulin, a life saving/giving medicine. The nurse said that they didn’t get the request from the Pharmacist. I went to the pharmacist to find out. The pharmacist showed me them sending the request to Dr Rand’s office, SEVERAL TIMES, not just once. The Nurse just kept telling me that they didn’t get the fax. I told her I needed to talk to the dr. Rand and ask if he deliberately didn’t send the script because I didn’t believe her and she wouldn’t put me in contact with him. I went for a year and he did nothing but collect money and asked me to tell my primary to call him, like I worked for him.granted, I didn’t want to get the app that makes my pump communicate with the computer, but I didn’t want to do that because every other endo I had in the past just grabbed my pump in office and download. Type one diabetes is a lot on its own so I didn’t want to keep checking in with a computer. I was lead to this dr by someone else who is also very frustrated with him and left his care or lack there of. If it wasnt Insulin I wouldn’t leave a review at all, I would just find another doctor. But he put me in a position of micromanaging insulin which caused my A1c to rise from 7.1 to 7.8. Just horrible. If you are a type one diabetic think thrice before coming here.

Dr. Joseph Rand is one of the sweetest and caring doctors I have been lucky enough to experience. He always makes you feel welcome in his care and you can be rest assured that he knows his field well and has your welfare at heart. I cannot recommend him highly enough as did other patients (friends of ours) who use him for their medical needs.

Dr. Rand is a wonderful endocrinologist. After years of not seeing a specialist, I decided it was time to find someone to help with a medical condition I have. He is kind and respectful, and takes his time with you. The staff are friendly and helpful. I’ve recommended Dr. Rand to family members who also need an endocrinologist, and they agree he is great!

Since I don't reside in Sarasota full time, I am unable to go into his office regularly. I was out of Synthroid and asked for a blood test to renew my prescription. I had thyroid cancer so have to have this med to survive. He refused saying I was no longer under his care and had to go to urgent care. Nice bedside manner, and right before Thanksgiving holiday when I was having another surgery. Corporate medicine at its finest, probably couldn't get paid if I didn't come in to office.

Dr rand is one of the most efficient caring dr. I'm very Leary of all Drs but he is a keeper. He doesn't rush you out and listens to all your questions and concerns !! My husband loves him ! He has helped my husband immensely!! Office staff and nurse equally as compassionate as the dr. Lisa is amazing ..
